A memorandum on the draft law approving the Unified Legal System on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture for the GCC States has been referred to Parliament by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The legislation aims to align Bahrain’s national framework with the GCC’s unified system for protection, documentation, and sustainable use of plant genetic resources vital for food security and agricultural development .
