MOTORSPORT – IT’S race week at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) with the highly anticipated Bapco Energies 8 Hours of Bahrain taking place this Friday and Saturday in Sakhir.
The Spirit of Le Mans will be shining bright under lights at ‘The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East’ as the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) brings the curtains down on another exciting season.
The race weekend will be headlined by a stacked WEC grid of Hypercars and LMGT3 contenders – featuring motoring’s most advanced technology and bearing the liveries of many of the industry’s biggest brands. These ultra-quick cars are piloted by some of the most popular talents in all of motor racing, who will be battling it out in the WEC’s only race of its duration.
The weekend’s main event on Saturday will flag off at 2pm under the afternoon sun, and then the chequered flag will come down under BIC’s bright state-of-the-art floodlights at 10pm at night.
Four of the WEC’s coveted 2025 titles are to be decided in Bahrain, including the FIA Hypercar World Endurance Manufacturers’ Championship, the FIA Hypercar World Endurance Drivers’ Championship, the FIA Endurance Trophy for LMGT3 Teams, and the FIA Endurance Trophy for LMGT3 Drivers. This promises plenty of thrills as endurance racing’s chief protagonists vie for glory.
The Bapco Energies 8 Hours of Bahrain will be the 14th WEC race to take place in Sakhir. It will also be the seventh time it is being held in its current eight-hour format.
Aside from the WEC, there will also be plenty of support race action in the Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East as well as non-stop family entertainment on both days – ensuring that there is something for everybody.
BIC is calling on race fans across the Kingdom to purchase their tickets today for the WEC spectacle. The WEC is one of the most prestigious series in all of motor racing, and tickets to the event offer tremendous value for an occasion of its calibre – rates that cannot be matched anywhere else in the world for a world championship event under the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA).

Hospitality packages are also available to enjoy the event from BIC’s luxurious suites. These are priced at BD290 per person, excluding VAT, for the two days.
All those attending the race weekend will be able to experience the open paddock – an offering unique to BIC’s annual WEC event.
Fans will be able to cross the BIC tunnel from the vending area and access the paddock, which is where the WEC’s star drivers and their teams call home for the duration of the meeting.
