ISLAMIC SOLIDARITY GAMES – Supreme Council for Youth and Sport first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority chairman, and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa expressed his sincere congratulations to Saudi Arabia and its people for the successful opening ceremony of the sixth Islamic Solidarity Games held Friday night at Al Janadriyah Racecourse in Riyadh.
Shaikh Khalid attended the event alongside BOC vice-president Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa.
They joined Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee (SOPC) president and Saudi’s Minister of Sports Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal Al Saud, and SOPC vice-president Prince Fahad bin Jalawi bin Abdulaziz Al Saud at the event.
Shaikh Khalid said he is fully confident in Saudi’s ability to achieve outstanding success in hosting the Games, which will enhance its prestigious position on the world sports map and embody the spirit of solidarity and brotherhood that this major Islamic sporting event carries.
