HORSERACING – Prime Minister’s Court Minister and Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC) High Committee chairman Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa yesterday issued an edict to reorganise the REHC.
The edict stipulates:
Article I: A new clause, numbered d, is added to paragraph 4 of section Third in Article I of Edict 1 of 2023 concerning the reorganisation of the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club, as follows: ‘(d) Investment and Financial Sustainability Directorate.’
Article II: Paragraph 5 of section Third in Article I of Edict 1 of 2023 is replaced with the following text: (5) Deputy chief executive officer for Financial Affairs, responsible for:
a) Financial Resources Directorate.
b) Human Resources and Services Directorate.
Article III: The chief executive officer of REHC shall implement the provisions of this edict, which shall take effect from the date of its issuance.
Shaikh Isa also issued two edicts announcing appointments at the REHC.
Under the first edict, Mohammed Ahmed Al Ne’ma was appointed as director of the Jockeys’ Support Fund at the REHC.
The second edict announced the appointment of Maryam Mohammed Mahmood as director of Human Resources and Services, and Fatima Abdulwahab Al Balooshi as director of Investment and Financial Sustainability.
