A man in Iraq pretended to be kidnapped and wound up getting arrested for it.
The man, named Alaa', sent his family pictures of himself bound up, then pretended to be his kidnappers. He demanded a ransom of 350 million Iraqi Dinars (BD 100,000).
The family immediately contacted the police, and after some investigation, it was revealed that he was just trying to scheme his family. He was subsequently arrested for his antics.
