Bahrain-based Amad Group of Companies chairman and managing director Pambavasan Nair has been recognised with a top award in India for his humanitarian work.
Mr Nair recently received the Dr Mangalam Swaminathan National Excellence Award 2025 from senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Indian Human Resources and Development Minister Dr Murli Manohar Joshi, in the presence of Indian Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Nimuben J Bambhaniya.
The award ceremony took place at the New Delhi Municipal Convention Centre in the Indian capital last week.
The prestigious national award honoured Mr Nair’s selfless work, having provided housing for the homeless, educational support for children, medical assistance, and aid for marriage expenses, through his philanthropic initiatives.
