The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior has introduced strict penalties for individuals wearing, using, or displaying any items that promote narcotics or related activities.
This includes printed materials, clothing, accessories, or any items that glorify drug use.
Violators will face fines of up to KD500 (BD614). Additionally, anyone found in the company of narcotics users may be penalised with imprisonment of up to three years, a fine of KD5,000 (BD 6,140), or both - regardless of whether they personally use drugs.
The UAE implemented a similar law in 2022, imposing a harsher fine of up to AED 50,000 (BD 5,000).
