Back-to-back Formula One constructors’ world champions McLaren unveiled their stunning, all-new car for the 2026 FIA F1 World Championship in a launch event held this evening at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) in Sakhir and streamed live to tens of thousands of F1 fans watching from around the world.
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, attended the event, which was capped off with an incredible fireworks display that lit up the Sakhir night sky in McLaren's signature papaya colour.
Also on hand were McLaren’s superstar tandem of reigning F1 drivers’ world champion Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, McLaren CEO Zak Brown, McLaren team principal Andrea Stella, and other top officials.
The Bahrain-owned team's MCL40 will be hitting the track at BIC this week for F1 Aramco Pre-Season Testing 2026. The tests are to be held over six days, divided into two three-day sessions, beginning with the first from Wednesday to Friday and then again from February 18 to 20.
