PARA TAEKWONDO – BAHRAIN’S Para taekwondo national team concluded their intensive training camp in Seoul, South Korea, held in preparation for their participation in the 11th Asian Para Taekwondo Championships, scheduled to be held from tomorrow in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
The event also acts as a qualifier for the 2026 Asian Para Games, to be held in Aichi and Nagoya in Japan later this year.
The kingdom’s delegation included jins Ebrahim Radwan (men’s 63kg) and Manan Jozi (women’s 46kg).
They trained under the supervision of coaches Tawfeeq Nuwaiser and Fajar Al Binali, and interacted with members of the South Korean Para taekwondo team, one of the world’s leaders in the sport.
The camp’s programme also included a visit to Kyung Hee University, where the jins participated in sparring matches with the university’s team.
The Bahrainis are not only looking to book their tickets to this year’s Asian Para Games, but also have an eye on the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic Games.
