Hotels across Bahrain are witnessing a strong surge in demand this Eid Al Adha season, driven by a notable rise in bookings from families travelling from across the GCC.
Hospitality officials told the GDN they are encouraged by the steady return of business and travel activity to near-normal levels, with properties rolling out an array of Eid staycation packages, curated culinary experiences and lifestyle offerings designed to create a more immersive and memorable holiday for guests.
The focus, they say, is firmly on giving families a chance to unwind and spend quality time together.
From lively mariachi performances and exclusive room promotions to rejuvenating spa retreats and family-friendly entertainment, Bahrain’s hotels are presenting a vibrant mix of experiences, ensuring the festive season is both engaging and memorable for visitors of all ages.
The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain director of sales and distribution Michael Mounir told the GDN that guests from across the GCC currently make up the majority of reservations, attracted by the resort’s ‘unique blend of luxury, privacy and family-oriented experiences’.
“This year, we are introducing a curated collection of special culinary and lifestyle experiences designed to make Eid Al Adha even more special,” he said.
“Visitors can look forward to a range of specially crafted festive highlights across the resort.”
Among the highlights are vibrant mariachi evenings at the hotel’s Mexican restaurant Cantina Kahlo, an indulgent Tomahawk steak experience at Plums and exclusive sizzling date cakes especially for the Eid occasion.
“In addition, our enhanced Eid staycation offer features a complimentary room upgrade,” Mr Mounir said.
He added that guests can enjoy a wide range of family-friendly experiences, including access to the hotel’s private beach, outdoor pools and exciting water activities.
Meanwhile, InterContinental Bahrain regional general manager Oman, Luxury and Lifestyle Qatar and Bahrain Philipp John Economou told the GDN that guests are increasingly seeking short luxury getaways and premium dining experiences during the holiday, with the majority of bookings coming from Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
“Families visiting during Eid can enjoy a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere at the hotel,” he said, highlighting the property’s exclusive ‘Your Perfect Eid Stay Awaits’ staycation package.
“Guests who book two consecutive nights in our premium rooms or suites will enjoy a complimentary third night.”
The package includes Club Lounge access, pool access, 25 per cent savings on dining experiences and complimentary stay and dining for children below the age of six.
“Guests can also enjoy our signature Eid Brunch at the Regency Tent,” Mr Economou added.
It will feature an extensive international buffet, traditional lamb ouzi, live cooking stations and live band entertainment.
“The complimentary third-night offer adds exceptional value for guests planning a longer Eid getaway, while the Eid Brunch experience has been enhanced with more interactive live stations and a lively social atmosphere at the Regency Tent. We are also seeing increased interest from regional travellers seeking shorter luxury escapes within the GCC.”
Mr Economou added that the hotel’s award-winning restaurant Legendz SteakHouse remains a must-visit dining destination this Eid, renowned for its ‘premium cuts, mouth-watering steaks and refined dining experience’.
The Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay commercial director Ahmed Atef also highlighted strong demand during the festive season with Saudi Arabia being the hotel’s largest source market, followed by Kuwait and Bahrain.
“This reflects Bahrain’s growing appeal as a convenient and vibrant destination for short holiday escapes and celebratory gatherings,” he said, noting that the hotel has introduced a range of special Eid staycation packages.
“Bahrain residents can enjoy 20 per cent savings on accommodation rates throughout Eid, while our Bahrain Getaway offer invites GCC guests to enjoy 15 per cent savings when booking a stay of two nights or more.”
Mr Atef also highlighted family-friendly experiences and dining offerings planned, including a limited-edition Burger Day menu available until May 31.
“Bahrain Bay Kitchen will host Eid Brunch on the first and second day of Eid, featuring expansive buffet selections, live cooking stations and entertainment for the family,” he said, adding that celebrations will continue into the weekend with the restaurant’s popular Friday Brunch.
Other dining venues across the hotel include CUT by Wolfgang Puck, which has lined up a signature Bubbly Brunch, while re/ASIAN CUISINE on the 50th floor offers modern Asian dishes with a Californian twist alongside panoramic city views. Byblos, meanwhile, presents a Lebanese dining experience with sweeping views across the bay.
“Younger guests also enjoy a variety of activities through the Kids For All Seasons programme and water park,” said Mr Atef.
“Special Eid-themed experiences such as henna art, hiya biya celebrations, beach activities and interactive games have all been thoughtfully prepared by the team.”
Meanwhile, the K Hotel Bahrain marketing and communications manager Layla AlTurabi said Eid Al Adha continues to be one of the busiest and most anticipated periods of the year for the hotel.
“We are pleased to see travel and leisure activity returning to healthy levels, with performance and guest interest now back to normal,” she said, adding that the hotel continues to welcome a diverse mix of guests from across the GCC alongside strong support from the local Bahrain market.
Ms AlTurabi highlighted that following the hotel’s recent renovation, guests can now enjoy refreshed interiors and upgraded accommodation ‘designed to offer one of the most comfortable and well-equipped stay experiences in the city’.
“For those looking to gather with loved ones and enjoy a memorable dining experience, KOLORS Restaurant offers the perfect setting for families, couples and groups of friends alike,” she said.
“During Eid Al Adha, the restaurant will host a special Eid Lunch Buffet on the second and third days of Eid, featuring a lavish spread of Arabic, traditional and international dishes carefully prepared to bring people together through rich flavours and comforting favourites.”
The venue also features a dedicated children’s play corner, making it especially ideal for families seeking both comfort and convenience during the festive season.
