Seven people were killed and nine others were injured in Dubai after a minibus collided with a truck that had stopped in the middle of the road on Monday.
The Indian Consulate in Dubai has confirmed that several Indian expat workers were among the dead.
The mission said its officials had already visited the injured Indian nationals and were working closely with local authorities to provide all possible assistance.
According to Dubai authorities, the truck had stopped suddenly on the road due to a technical malfunction. The bus driver, reportedly failing to pay attention and maintain a safe distance, collided with the truck from behind.
