A Kuwaiti man was sentenced to three years in prison with hard labour after he impersonated a doctor in a public hospital and defrauded a woman out of KD950 (approx. BD1,160).
He promised to perform cosmetic surgery on her and took payment in advance.
The defendant entered a public hospital dressed as a doctor and tricked staff and patients into believing that he was a licensed physician before conning the victim.
Investigators identified the man with the help of hospital surveillance footage and apprehended him thereafter.
