The Royal Medical Services of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) signed a medical insurance agreement with Solidarity Bahrain, covering doctors, nursing staff and allied health professionals, in a pioneering initiative that is the first of its kind in Bahrain and across the GCC countries.
The agreement reflects the RMS’ commitment to providing a supportive working environment for its healthcare staff, while strengthening co-operation with national institutions and benefiting from their expertise in areas related to the healthcare sector.
RMS Commander Major General Dr Shaikh Fahad bin Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa said the agreement reflects the attention given to healthcare staff and the RMS’ commitment to providing the care and support they need to carry out their duties and responsibilities to the highest standards.
He noted that co-operation with Solidarity Bahrain represents an important addition to efforts to develop the services and benefits provided to healthcare staff and benefit from the expertise of specialised national institutions, stressing the importance of continued co-operation and co-ordination in support of shared interests.
He added that RMS is committed to supporting its healthcare staff and providing the conditions that contribute to their professional stability, given their essential role in delivering advanced healthcare services. He noted that developing the working environment is among its priorities in its continued efforts to enhance performance and the quality of healthcare services.
Solidarity Bahrain CEO Joad Mohammed expressed his pride in signing the agreement with the Royal Medical Services of the BDF, affirming that the partnership reflects the company’s commitment to strengthening co-operation with national institutions and leveraging its expertise and capabilities to provide insurance solutions that support healthcare staff and meet their needs.
He also affirmed Solidarity Bahrain’s readiness to provide its expertise in medical insurance and utilise its capabilities to deliver the agreed services in accordance with approved standards and practices, expressing his aspiration for continued co-operation with RMS in other areas in the coming period.
The agreement forms part of the RMS’ efforts to support its healthcare staff, develop the working environment and strengthen co-operation with national companies and institutions in a manner that contributes to providing services and benefits that meet the needs of its personnel.
