Dr George Joseph, a former Indian ambassador to Bahrain, has died, sources told the GDN.
He was in the kingdom from January 2009 to October 2010 and also served as a diplomat in Qatar, Saudi and Dubai in the region.
Dr Joseph, who hails from Poonjar in Kottayam district of Kerala, is survived by wife Rani and daughter Renu.
He will be buried on Saturday in his hometown.
