Riyadh: Torrential rain and hail lashed parts of Saudi Arabia, damaging many cars but no casualties were reported.
Villages in north Mahayel were severely affected as hailstones killed a number of sheep and other livestock, Sabq reported.
The meteorological authorities said that the hailstones were the biggest the country had ever seen. People posted pictures of the damage on social media.
