Football fans gathered at Bahrain International Airport to greet the national team upon their arrival.
Videos circulating online showed celebrations as the players were swarmed with family members, friends and
fans. The Bahrain National Football Team returned home tonight after winning the 9th West Asia Cup.
Bahrain beat Iraq 1-0 with a lone goal scored by Essa Moosa in the 38th minute.
The Youth and Sports Ministry will also host a festival on Saturday celebrating the historic win.
The event, Joy of a Nation, will be held at Bahrain National Stadium from 5pm to 9pm.
