Muscat: Over 1,200 people citizens and residents have come forward to assist the country's authorities to deal with the coronavirus pandemic.
The Social Development Ministry encouraged anyone who wishes to offer help to come forward, Times of Oman reported.
“Everyone can volunteer with us, whether they are a citizen or resident of Oman,” the ministry's undersecretary director Mishaal bin Abdullah Al Farsi said.
“They will be trained to improve the quality of their work, and give them the skills required to assist us properly.”
Those who have already come forward will be work across a number of areas including health, community counselling, and awareness campaigns.
