Bahrain Victorious’ German sprinter Phil Bauhaus won his second stage after a photo-finish was recorded at the end of the 142-km-length Stage 3 of Tour de Hongrie, between Veszprém and Tata.
With his success yesterday, Bauhaus reclaimed the yellow jersey by leading the general classification. His Bahraini teammate Ahmad Madden played a crucial supporting role in the team’s performance.
His Majesty King Hamad’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa has created a new success story by overseeing the development of Madan who was able to join Team Bahrain Victorious as the first professional Bahraini cyclist.
Shaikh Nasser expressed happiness over Madan’s ability to participate as a professional cyclist in overseas competitions, describing it as a source of pride for all and an assertion of the Bahraini cyclist’s successful march to attain his goals.
Madan thanked Shaikh Nasser for his support, adding that he took pride in being part of Team Bahrain Victorious and pledging to excel in future competitions.
