The company’s three luxury brands, Gran Meliá, ME by Meliá and Paradisus, now have 33 hotels in key destinations worldwide, in addition to 10 projects under way that will extend their international presence.
In the Middle East, the company aims to increase its luxury portfolio with the introduction of its Gran Meliá brand while also promoting the international growth of other brands such as INNSiDE by Meliá. Currently with two hotels in Dubai, Meliá expects to open at least four new hotels in the Middle East over the next few years.
ME Dubai is one of the most recent premium hotels opened by the company. The hotel forms part of the legacy left by the architect Zaha Hadid and is the only hotel whose exterior and interior spaces were both designed by Zaha Hadid Architects. The hotel is located in the heart of the Burj Khalifa district and acknowledged as a masterpiece of contemporary international architecture.
The hotel’s dining options include Roka, an award-winning contemporary Japanese robatayaki restaurant, Deseo, a bar with Latin American flavours, Central Cosmo Tapas & Bar, serving Spanish cuisine, and Botanica, offering the finest cocktails. New projects in the Middle East
Meliá Hotels International continues with its international growth and introduction of its brands, bringing two of them to Qatar. With a focus on ME by Meliá, a brand which is already present in the region, and the introduction of INNSiDE by Meliá, a brand which is in constant growth, the hotel company is scheduled to open two new hotels in Doha by 2022.
ME Doha will be located within the Doha Live complex, a spectacular project with a lifestyle concept with modern architecture and a hotel, shops, restaurants and wellness facilities. This new luxury hotel will provide 235 rooms and MICE facilities, as well as an infinity pool with fantastic views of the city and a wide range of dining options.

Two new hotels in Iran and the UAE are expected to open in late 2021 and 2023, respectively.
