Legendary actor Dilip Kumar died this morning after a prolonged illness. He was 98.
Dilip Kumar was admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of the Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai last week
"He passed away due to prolonged illness at 7.30 am," Dr Jalil Parkar, who had been treating the actor, told PTI.
Family friend Faisal Farooqui posted the heartbreaking news on the actor's Twitter handle, saying:

Dilip Kumar, known as 'tragedy king', gave memorable performances in old classic films like Naya Daur, Mughal-e-Azam, Devdas, Shakti and many more.
