Miral, Abu Dhabi’s leading curator of magnetic experiences, has signed an agreement with Capital Motion, a leading F&B and hospitality management company, for the launch of Café del Mar, one of the world’s most revered entertainment venues, at Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island.
Set to open later this year, the world-famous Ibiza Beach Club will be introduced to Abu Dhabi for the first time and will be a significant addition to the exciting offerings at Yas Bay Waterfront, the Emirate’s premier waterfront destination.
Founded in 1980 in Sant Antoni de Portmany on the Spanish island of Ibiza, Café del Mar now has multiple locations across the world. The new Café del Mar will offer a Mediterranean-inspired menu that will feature local Middle Eastern favourites.
Clement Bontemps, Executive Director of Asset Management, Miral, said: "Accompanied by recently unveiled award-winning concepts such as Siddharta Lounge, Bushra and Asia Asia, Café del Mar complements Yas Bay Waterfront’s line up of remarkable nightlife and F&B venues, many of which are debuting in Abu Dhabi for the first time."
"We look forward to the opening of Yas Bay Waterfront to offer visitors and residents unmatched experiences that reinforce Yas Island’s position as a global leisure and entertainment destination.”
Mario Samaha, Founder and CEO of Capital Motion, said.
"We are thrilled to be expanding our collaboration with Miral at Yas Bay Waterfront and bringing Café del Mar to Abu Dhabi. This latest addition to the Capital Motion portfolio and to the already impressive line-up of nightlife and F&B outlets at Yas Bay Waterfront will offer guests a truly unique experience at a world-class entertainment venue,” he added.
Music will form a key part of the new beach club, with Café del Mar renowned as one of the world’s leading Chill House music labels, and the birthplace of one of the longest running and most successful music compilation series in history.
Yas Bay Waterfront is the focal point of Yas Bay which encompasses three distinct areas across 14 million square feet: The Waterfront, Residences at Yas Bay; and Yas Creative Hub.
As a vibrant leisure and entertainment nightlife destination, Yas Bay Waterfront is home to a wide array of nightlife and entertainment attractions such as the multi-purpose indoor venue, Etihad Arena, and a Pier that features 37 cafés and restaurants as well as 19 retail outlets.
Emma Banks, VP, F&B Strategy and Development, Hilton EMEA, said: “We are excited to bring the first Café del Mar to Abu Dhabi. A truly global phenomenon, we will transport that same Spanish charm and magic to Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island; serving up the most delicious Mediterranean food and pouring sumptuous drinks to fuel our guests as they dance the day and night away. We look forward to offering our guests an experience like no other! “
