A 23-year-old man died of suffocation as a result of a fire that broke out at a house in Samaheej yesterday.
According to the Civil Defence, the man was rushed to hospital by the National Ambulance service after he suffered from smoke inhalation. Efforts to rescue him ended in vain.
Necessary legal measures are underway, the Interior Ministry said on X. Six other individuals were rescued from the burning home, and investigations are underway to determine the cause of the blaze. The names or nationalities of the deceased and the injured were not revealed.
