Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa yesterday met International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) – Middle East executive director Retired Air Vice-Marshal Martin Sampson.
The meeting was attended by Public Security Deputy Chief Major General Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa.
The minister expressed appreciation for the role of research centres in presenting distinguished studies that contribute to developing security approaches and formulating policing policies to address security challenges and changes proactively.
He commended the efforts of the IISS in promoting global peace and organising strategic forums and international conferences, foremost among them the Manama Dialogue, an annual intellectual platform for exchanging views on issues related to security and stability.
The meeting discussed means to enhance joint work and exchange of expertise between the two sides.
