An awareness campaign aimed at enhancing maritime safety among seafarers was recently carried out by the Coastguard. Organised in co‑ordination with Bapco Energies, the campaign forms part of an ongoing 3D marine survey project currently being implemented across several maritime areas of the kingdom. The initiative sought to raise awareness among fishermen, boat owners, and seafarers about the importance of adhering to maritime safety guidelines and regulations governing navigation within designated work zones. These measures are essential to ensure public safety and to facilitate the smooth progress of the survey project in line with the highest approved standards. The Coastguard urged all seafarers to exercise caution, comply with the announced guidelines, and avoid approaching the designated survey areas in order to protect lives and property.
