THE pair of Hidde Sels and Jim Burger set up a showdown with Janji Soquino and Nino Remonde in the Men’s Super Doubles of the 35th GPIC Open Tennis Championship, which will be held at the Bahrain Tennis Club (BTC) courts on Tuesday evening under the patronage of GPIC president Yasser Abdul Rahim Al Abbasi.
In the semi-finals yesterday, Sels and Burger overcame the pair of Yusuf Qaed and Omar Qaed 7-6 (4), 6-3, while Soquino and Remonde rallied from a set down to defeat the duo of Elyas Redha and Hassan Redha 4-6, 6-4, 14-12 in a pulsating showdown.
