The fifth edition of the World Entrepreneurs Investment Forum 2024 (WEIF) is set to begin tomorrow at Gulf Hotel Bahrain’s convention centre, under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The three-day forum, themed ‘Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through Fostering Innovation and Economic Growth’, will bring together more than 1,000 delegates representing ministries, dignitaries, philanthropists, experts, entrepreneurs, innovators, investors and academicians from across the globe, with a focus on the Arab and African regions.
The WEIF is facilitated by the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) Investment and Technology Promotion Office in Bahrain in partnership with the Arab League, the Industry and Commerce Ministry, the Union of Arab Chambers, the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa, the Bahrain Chamber and a number of local, regional and international partners.
The forum will take place concurrently with the Arab Summit on Thursday in co-ordination with the Arab League.
WEIF 2024 will shine a spotlight on some of the most critical issues and best practices and solutions. It will include sessions on the following :
• Six Transitions: Investment pathways to deliver the SDGs
• High-level plenary session – The World in 2050
• The role of digital transformation and innovation in entrepreneurship
• Trade and heritage meet innovation: Unleashing the creative orange potential
• Role of universities and educational institutions in unleashing entrepreneurship and innovation
• Women, Peace and Security: How to promote stability in conflict-affected countries by funding female entrepreneurs.
