Children and parents brought together their most colourful kites for a friendly competition held yesterday in the Northern Governorate, with prizes for winners and attendees.
The event took place at the Salman Town beach in the afternoon.
It was organised by the governorate in co-ordination with the Northern Municipal Council.
Northern Governor Ali Al Asfoor attended the event alongside council member Bassem Abu Idris.
The contest was part of the governorate’s bid to be recognised as a ‘Healthy Governorate’ by the World Health Organisation.
