A total of 146 newly-elected officers of the Philippine Bahrain Caregiver Society (PBCS) were sworn it at a gala event held recently.
The oath-taking ceremony was organised by the PBCS at the Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel, Residence and Spa in Manama.
The occasion marked the transition to the organisation’s new leadership while paying tribute to the invaluable contributions of Filipino caregivers in Bahrain.
The ceremony was officiated by Philippines Ambassador Anne Jalando-on Louis, who spoke about the Philippines’ significant contribution to the caregiving sector.
She acknowledged the enthusiasm for volunteerism exhibited by the PBCS, recognising it as an exemplary model of community service.
PBCS re-elected president Maria Perez recalled the challenges and struggles that the organisation had to go through since its founding four years ago.
She noted the difficulties presented by the Covid-19 pandemic, and thanked everyone for their valuable inputs as partners, especially the Bahraini government and the Philippine Embassy for their support.
