The Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Minister Wael Al Mubarak issued a decision specifying the categories of fees due for inspecting agricultural consignments.
The new decision published in the Official Gazette imposed a fixed fee of BD20 on inspecting imported, transiting, exported or re-exported agricultural consignments. The agricultural consignment of a maximum of five plants accompanying any traveller for personal use shall be exempted from the fee. The 2004 decision regarding the inspection fees for agricultural consignments is repealed, as is any text that contradicts the provisions of this decision.
