Construction of 372 housing units and apartments in Khalifa Town will start this month, Housing and Urban Planning Minister Amna Al Romaihi has said.
The ministry has completed site preparations and awarded the tender for the project, which includes 336 housing units and 36 ownership apartments, she said in a statement yesterday.
The project features modern designs tailored to Bahraini family needs, including four-bedroom units with living spaces, a kitchen and storage. It will also include infrastructure such as roads, sewage, drainage, electricity and water networks, she added.
Ms Al Romaihi underscored the ministry’s efforts to advance other projects in partnership with the private sector, including Al Buhair Housing Project (76 units), Hawrat Sanad Project (47 units) and plans to develop approximately 3,000 units in Khalifa Town’s next phase.
The projects are a key priority within Bahrain’s development, led by His Majesty King Hamad and supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
