His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday issued Edict (1) of 2025, naming the competent administrative authority and minister for private entities working in the youth sector and defining their roles, based on a proposal by the Youth Affairs Minister and following the approval of the Cabinet.
Article (I)
The Youth Affairs Ministry is designated as the competent administrative authority, and the Youth Affairs Minister as the competent minister, as stipulated in the Law on Associations, Social and Cultural Clubs, Special Committees Working in the Field of Youth and Sports, and Private Foundations, issued by Decree-Law (21) of 1989, concerning private entities operating in the youth sector.
The Ministry and the Youth Affairs Minister shall exercise the powers outlined in the law.
Article (II)
Edict (22) of 2019 regarding naming the competent administrative authority and minister for private entities working in the youth, sports, and sporting activities sector, as well as any provision conflicting with this decision, is hereby repealed.
Article (III)
The Youth Affairs Minister shall implement the provisions of this decision, which takes effect the day after its publication in the Official Gazette.
HRH Prince Salman issued Edict (2) of 2025, appointing directors at the Civil Service Bureau, based on a proposal by the bureau’s president.
Article (I)
Amal Isa Abdullah Ateeq shall be appointed as Director of the Organisational Performance Directorate at the Civil Service Bureau, replacing Reem Hassan Marhoon.
Article (II)
Rihab Ibrahim Ahmed Al Fadhel shall be appointed as Director of the Human Resources Operations Directorate at the Civil Service Bureau.
Article (III)
The president of the Civil Service Bureau shall implement the provisions of this edict, which takes effect from the date of its issuance and will be published in the Official Gazette.
