An awareness lecture on stress management was recently organised by the Future Society for Youth.
The session, held for society members in collaboration with the Aisha Yateem Family Counselling Centre, was led by social researcher Sanaa Abdel Jalil and psychological counselling specialist Zahraa Al Alawi.
It explored types of stress and its impact on mental health and taught attendees practical skills and tools to tackle it.
Participants learned to identify symptoms of stress and received guidance on effective time management, positive thinking and relaxation techniques.
The society’s secretary of the board and membership team head Mohammed Al Sukkari highlighted the significance of the lecture in enhancing mental health awareness of its members.
“We recognise the pivotal role our members play in the success of our social initiatives,” said Mr Al Sukkari.
“This lecture aims to boost psychological awareness and empower members to navigate daily challenges.”
It was held at the headquarters of the Smile Initiative at Umm Al Hassam.
