Investing in education leads to a stronger and more prosperous future, Isa Bin Salman Education Charitable Trust board of trustees chairman and Labour Fund (Tamkeen) board of directors chairman Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa has said.
Such investment ensures future generations are equipped with the necessary knowledge to make Bahrain even more prosperous, Shaikh Isa said when he chaired the trust’s board meeting at Riffa Palace yesterday.
Shaikh Isa highlighted the importance of education in driving the kingdom’s comprehensive development, which began 25 years ago with His Majesty King Hamad’s accession to the throne.
He also affirmed the support provided by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in developing the kingdom’s education sector, which contributes to achieving sustainable development and advancing achievements across various fields.
During the meeting, a report on the beneficiaries of the trust’s scholarships, the executive plan for undergraduate scholarships, the postgraduate studies programme for 2025-2026, and the trust’s annual report for 2024 were discussed.
Shaikh Isa highlighted the importance of providing quality educational opportunities for the people of Bahrain, emphasising that they represent the most valuable investment for building a brighter future and driving the kingdom’s development.
He affirmed the importance of partnerships between the public and private sectors and their role in supporting educational initiatives.
