The Supreme Administrative Court has turned down a case filed by a female lawyer, who was barred from practising the profession for two years for assisting an accountant in embezzling BD74,000 from his company. It ruled that the decisions of the Lawyers’ Disciplinary Board are deemed final and non-appealable. Such decisions are not administrative decisions that can be contested but punitive rulings issued after taking into account due process and requirements.
