Alba, the world’s largest single-site aluminium smelter, and Saudi Aravbian Mining Company (Ma’aden) have mutually decided to discontinue discussions on a potential combination of Alba with segments of Ma’aden’s Aluminium Strategic Business Unit.
An Alba spokesperson said the Bahrain-based company remains committed to its ambitious growth trajectory, leveraging its world class operations and strong market position to capitalise on the growing demand for sustainable aluminium.
