The UAE Journalists Association yesterday honoured Bahraini journalist Khalid Abdulla Al Zayani during a ceremony to mark its silver jubilee.
An elite of leading media persons and journalists attended the celebration, held in Dubai, to honour the association’s first founders and former board chairmen as well as journalists and media figures who played a pivotal role in establishing it.
Mr Al Zayani participated in overseeing the association’s first general assembly 25 years ago when he was serving as Bahrain Journalists Association (BJA) vice president.
Mr Al Zayani received the honuring shield from the Federation of Arab Journalists president Moayed Allami and the UAE Journalists Association president Fadhila Al Muaini.
