His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa held official talks with His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman, at Al Alam Palace in Muscat during HM the King’s (state visit) to Oman.
At the onset, His Majesty the King expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Majesty Sultan Haitham for the warm reception, expressing his pleasure to visit the Sultanate of Oman and meet His Majesty the Sultan. His Majesty wished the Sultanate continued prosperity and progress under the leadership of HM the Sultan.
His Majesty Sultan Haitham welcomed HM the King, highlighting the deep ties, shared heritage, and mutual respect between Oman and Bahrain.
The talks, attended by members of both delegations, covered the strong historic ties between the two nations and explored means to enhance cooperation across all domains. Both leaders emphasised their commitment to further developing bilateral relations and advancing joint efforts to serve their shared interests.
HM the King commended the exemplary relations between Bahrain and Oman, built on strong foundations of mutual understanding. His Majesty the King highlighted the efforts of HM the Sultan to bolster these ties, lauding Oman’s achievements under his leadership.
The meeting also addressed Gulf cooperation amid regional challenges, emphasising the importance of unity within the GCC to safeguard security and stability.
Regional and international developments were discussed, including Middle East issues. Both sides emphasised the importance of coordinated efforts to ensure regional stability, avert the repercussions of new crises, and work towards a just and lasting peace based on the two-state solution.
HM the Sultan expressed pride in the visit of His Majesty the King, describing it as a boost to the deep-rooted ties between the two nations. HM the Sultan commended the leadership of HM the King, which has driven Bahrain’s remarkable progress and achievements across various sectors.
