Bahrain has been ranked third in the Gulf in terms of international tourist arrivals, according to a report by the GCC Statistical Centre.
In 2023, the number of international tourists arriving in Bahrain increased by 44.3pc (compared to 2019) to 5.6 million.
The UAE led the list with 28.1m and a growth rate of 30.3pc.
Saudi Arabia came second with 27.4m with a growth rate of 56.55pc.
Qatar ranked fourth with 5.6m international tourists, with an exceptional growth rate of 91.9pc.
Oman came in fifth with an average of 2.8m tourists, with a growth rate of 13.9pc.
Kuwait ranked last with 0.4m tourists with a drop of 59.8pc.
The number of international tourists in GCC destinations reached 68.1m in 2023, a 42.8pc increase from 2019.
