His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa concluded a state visit to Oman today, following an invitation from His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman.
During the visit, HM the King held discussions with HM Sultan Haitham, focusing on the historical and distinguished ties between the two countries and exploring means to enhance cooperation across various sectors. The talks also addressed key regional and international developments.
After the visit, HM Sultan Haitham, accompanied by senior Omani officials and dignitaries, bid farewell to HM King Hamad.
HM King Hamad sent a cable of thanks to HM Sultan Haitham, expressing gratitude for the warm hospitality and generous reception extended to him and his accompanying delegation during the visit. HM underscored the depth of the close ties uniting the two countries and peoples.
In the cable, HM also expressed appreciation for the extensive discussions held during the visit and their fruitful outcomes, including the agreements and memoranda of understanding signed.
HM, the King noted that these agreements reflect a sincere desire to enhance bilateral cooperation, elevate it to higher levels, and foster a stronger partnership that serves shared interests, meets aspirations and benefits the two countries, the Arab world, and regional security and stability.
HM King Hamad wished HM Sultan Haitham continued success in achieving further growth, progress, and prosperity for the Omani people.
