His Majesty King Hamad received members of the board of directors of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and a delegation from the Bahrain Chamber in Muscat yesterday.
He commended the efforts of both chambers of commerce in advancing and strengthening Bahraini-Omani co-operation, particularly in economic, trade and investment sectors.
His Majesty praised the outcomes of his successful state visit to Oman and the productive meeting with Sultan Haitham bin Tariq. He emphasised the importance of these engagements in further strengthening relations, particularly in the economic and investment sectors.
He also commended the signing of memoranda of understanding (MoUs) and agreements between Bahrain and Oman earlier yesterday, expressing confidence that they will further strengthen co-operation between the two countries.
The King expressed appreciation for Sultan Haitham’s efforts in supporting and strengthening relations, commending Oman’s comprehensive achievements under the Sultan’s leadership, particularly in the economic and commercial sectors.
The King commended the role of the private sector and business leaders in both countries in boosting trade volumes through joint investment and economic projects. He expressed hope that the meetings between the two sides would pave the way for new avenues of economic co-operation and the exchange of expertise and experiences, fostering mutual benefits.
His Majesty highlighted the advantages of Bahrain’s economy, including its strategic location and skilled human resources across various sectors.
The members of both the chambers highlighted the King’s role in supporting the development of economic, trade and investment co-operation between the two countries.
