Officials from the Yousif and Aysha Almoayyed Foundation (YAAF) visited the Psychiatric Hospital and the Mohammed Almoayyed Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Unit (DAARU) in Salmaniya as part of their continuing efforts to support and enhance the healthcare services in Bahrain.
The purpose of the visit was to meet officials from both institutions and better understand their needs and challenges, with the aim of exploring opportunities for collaboration and support.
The delegation from YAAF included chairperson Mashael Farouk Almoayyed, directors Noora Feleyfel, May Almoayed, and the foundation’s incharge Ashish Shetty. They were welcomed by Psychiatric Hospital chairperson Dr Shaimaa Bucheeri, consultant Dr Ehab Rakha, and teams from the Psychiatric Hospital and DAARU.
During the visit, the Almoayyed Foundation representatives engaged in productive discussions with the hospital and rehabilitation unit officials, learning about the essential services provided to individuals facing mental health challenges and addiction.
The officials from the foundation expressed their eagerness to support these vital institutions in their mission to provide ‘exceptional care’ for those in need. “The foundation is committed to exploring various ways in which it can contribute to enhancing the facilities’ existing programmes and services to further strengthen their efforts and make a positive impact on the lives of those in need,” said a YAAF representative.
“The Yousif and Aysha Almoayyed Foundation remains committed to supporting the community through partnerships that align with its mission to foster wellbeing, education and healthcare.”
The visitors added that they were looking forward to continuing their discussions with the hospital and rehabilitation unit teams to identify specific areas of collaboration. Together, they hope to implement initiatives that will improve the quality of care and support the ongoing efforts to serve individuals who require mental health and addiction treatment.
