Isa Bin Salman Education Charitable Trust board of trustees chairman and Labour Fund (Tamkeen) board of directors chairman Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa yesterday met the Rt Hon the Lord Mayor of the City of London, Alderman Alastair King.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of Shaikh Isa’s leadership of a high-level Bahraini delegation to the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland.
Shaikh Isa highlighted the enduring strength of the long-standing relations between the two kingdoms and emphasised their strategic partnerships across various sectors.
He also noted the growth of Bahrain-UK relations and mutual commitment to enhance ties to meet mutual aspirations.
During the meeting, avenues to enhance multi-sectoral collaboration were discussed.
Shaikh Isa underscored the importance of building on the strategic partnership, fostering new opportunities to benefit both kingdoms and their people.
The latest regional and international developments were reviewed, as well as key issues of common interest.
Shaikh Isa also met UAE Minister of Cabinet Affairs Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gergawi and members of the UAE delegation as he visited the UAE pavilion at the WEF.
Shaikh Isa affirmed the strength of the deep-rooted ties between Bahrain and the UAE, strengthened by the support of His Majesty King Hamad and UAE President Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
His Highness noted that the UAE’s pavilion, hosting various events attended by prominent figures, serves as a platform for exchanging expertise and sharing best international practices.
The meeting also discussed ways to enahance the Bahrain-UAE relationship in line with mutual aspirations.
Shaikh Isa separately met the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq Masrour Barzani.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the WEF Annual Meeting.
Shaikh Isa highlighted the importance of furthering relations between Bahrain and Kurdistan to enhance co-operation and meet common aspirations and goals.
The meeting also examined the progress of ongoing relations and discussed ways to bolster the bilateral partnership for mutual benefit.
The latest regional and international developments were reviewed, as well as key issues of common interest.
Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and several senior officials attended the meetings.
