Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa yesterday received Bahrain’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Office in Geneva Ambassador Abdulla Abdullatif Abdulla.
He commended Bahrain’s major international achievements, particularly in human rights and the National Human Rights Plan projects.
The minister emphasised Bahrain’s commitment to promoting peaceful coexistence and supporting regional peace and stability under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
He also highlighted the royal human rights initiatives, particularly the achievements of the alternative sentencing project and the open prisons programme.
