Message from Indian Ambassador Vinod K Jacob I convey my best wishes and congratulations to the nearly 330,000 Indian nationals living in the Kingdom of Bahrain and all friends of India from Bahraini society on the occasion of the 76th Republic Day of India, celebrated on 26 January 2025.
Modern day India is the product of the ancient philosophy and culture of India, which firmly believes that humanity is one and the whole world is a single nest.
According to the IMF, Indian economy is expected to grow at 6.5 per cent in 2025. This is more than three percentage points above the expected global growth.
In my view, India provides a growth opportunity for the Asian and indeed the entire Indo-Pacific region. Therefore, the coming year can be a major period for robust development of bilateral relations between India and Bahrain as well.
The guidance and direction of His Majesty King Hamad and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, through friendly dialogue and discussions with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, have set the pathway for co-operation in diverse areas including energy and hydrocarbons, renewable energy, infrastructure, trade and investments, defence and security, health, food and agriculture, hospitality, pharmaceutical industry, electronic industry, downstream aluminium, Information Technology and data centres, space, tourism, environment and youth and sports.
I remain committed to working with the Government of Bahrain to further strengthen our engagement.
