Around 2,000 Filipinos celebrated the Feast of Santo Niño at Sacred Heart Church, Manama.
The festival marks the birth of Catholicism in the Philippines more than 500 years ago.
The event started with a mass procession which was spearheaded by spiritual director Reverend Father Anthony Almazan and co-ordinator Ulysses Dela Cruz.
This was followed by children carrying Santo Niño statues with other parishioners.

Bishop Aldo and Ms Louis holding statues at the event
Apostolic Vicar of Northern Arabia Bishop Aldo Berardi presided over the event, which was attended by Philippines Ambassador Anne Jalando-on Louis, clerics and leaders of Filipino organisations and overseas workers in the kingdom.
This year’s street dance competition, held as part of the celebrations, included a new title, Grand Santo Niño Queen Bahrain 2025, which was won by Global Bisdak Bahrain’s Lilibeth Donayre.
