The significant role of Shaikha Hessa Bint Salman Al Khalifa Award for Voluntary Youth Work in fostering the concept of volunteerism among the youth and developing their projects has been stressed.
Top winner in the ‘individual projects’ category Zainab Saeed Al Jamri expressed joy over winning the award, commending the Supreme Council for Women (SCW)’s support for it. She stressed the role of the award in promoting the competitive spirit among Bahraini youngsters and motivating them to participate actively in the kingdom’s development march.
She explained that her project, ‘Lisan Arabi’ (Arab Tongue) aims to provide advanced learning of Arabic for those who do not speak it. She also pointed out her plan to broaden the scope of the project to include other countries and regions.

Second place winner in the same category Hanan Abdulla Hassan commended SCW’s unrelenting efforts to support the youth and their pioneering projects. She said her project on Developing Skills of Workers in Disability Support Services aims to tap on Bahraini competencies and equip them with the needed skills to increase their employability in the field of providing care for people with special needs.
First place winners in the ‘Group Projects’ category Faisal Isa Al Khayat, Ahmed Issam Al Janahi, Dana Abdullah Al Buarki and Khalid Salman Al Shaikh praised the award’s role in boosting innovation among the youth and serving the community. They said their ‘Hypo Youth Programme’ was first launched in 2019 as part of the ‘Youth City 2030’ programmes with the aim to explore the youth’s potentials and hone their leadership skills.

Second place winners in the same category Yaqoob Yousef Al Najim, Amjad Khalid Al Ansari, Saleh Mohammed Al Mehza, Wed Nooh Abdul Ghaffar, Noora Ibrahim Najm, Ahmed Mohammed Al Awadhi and Sawsan Abdulrahim Ali said their ‘Keys Programme’ project seeks to prepare the youth, aged 16 to 19, for the university and the labour market by equipping them with the needed skills and knowledge.

Mulhemoun (Inspirers) group members, whose project ‘Montessori’ won the award in the ‘Outstanding Group Projects’ category, pointed out the crucial role of Shaikha Hessa Bint Salman Al Khalifa Award for Voluntary Youth Work in highlighting the creative initiatives to strengthen social solidarity and charity work.

Jamal Salim Hamad Al Aziz, Jassim Mohammed Saif, Muadh Jassim Mohammed Ali, Abdulaziz Mohammed Al Qasir, Ibtissem Rashid Al Samsami, Ali Mousa Hassan and Yasmine Moufid Al Nuairat, who won the same category for their ‘Paramedics Academy Team’ project, praised the award’s remarkable role in promoting voluntary work and achieving social solidarity in Bahrain.
