The Health Ministry has confirmed that Bahrain’s markets are free of the Coca-Cola products recalled in several European countries, following verification with the local manufacturer and laboratory testing of the production line at Coca-Cola Bahrain.
The tests confirmed that the products available in the kingdom meet all approved health standards, it said.
“The food control section at the Public Health Directorate conducted sampling of locally available Coca-Cola products and subjected them to testing at public health laboratories.
“The results confirmed that no abnormal levels of chlorate were detected, affirming the products’ safety for consumption.”
The Health Ministry reiterated that all food and beverage products available in Bahrain’s markets undergo regular inspections and quality control procedures in line with local, Gulf and international health standards, ensuring the safety of citizens and residents.
