The Social Insurance Organisation (SIO) announced yesterday that settlement procedures and grievance submissions remain open for home-based business programme Khatwa participants who added previous service periods in violation of the law.
Ongoing reviews are being conducted to assess the status of complainants in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, it said.
SIO reiterated its commitment to safeguarding the rights of all contributors and pensioners under existing laws and regulations. It urged affected individuals to submit their grievances through the designated online platform: https://www.sio.gov.bh/Khatwa/.
The organisation reported that an additional 282 individuals have completed legal settlement procedures following co-ordination with SIO.
Necessary measures will be taken to correct their insurance status, including registering them for unemployment benefits and integrating them into employment support programmes in co-ordination with the Labour Ministry.
This brings the total number of resolved cases to 783, following the earlier completion of settlements for 501 cases, who continued receiving their pensions without interruption.
