My husband and I went yesterday with our two-year-old daughter and it was fantastic. I’ll be straight – I’m not a huge golf fan. My husband is, but with a toddler in tow, spending hours silently watching golf wasn’t exactly top of my list … but the Championship Village? Game changer!
We were blown away by how much there was to keep her entertained. The inflatable play area and the soft play zone were absolute lifesavers. It was great knowing she was having fun in a safe environment while my husband and I could catch glimpses of the tournament on the big screens. They even had screens near the kids’ areas, which was a brilliant touch.
Beyond the inflatables, there was mini golf, which she enjoyed toddling around (even if she didn’t quite grasp the concept!). The craft market was a hit too, alongside oyster shucking and meeting a falcon. The real highlight for her, though, was the roaming entertainers that kept things lively.
For the adults, there was plenty to keep us entertained too. We enjoyed the AI photo booth, and we ended up with some hilarious family pictures. I really enjoyed the traditional Bahraini area. The coffee and sweets were delicious, and it was fascinating watching the potter at work.
Food and drinks were readily available, and there was a great atmosphere throughout the whole village. Roaming entertainers kept things lively, and there were plenty of ‘Instagrammable walls’ for those obligatory family photos.
There was something for everyone, regardless of whether you’re a golf fanatic or not. We’ll definitely be going back next year!
