Only 1,000 of the BD125 coins, each weighing 62.2gms, are available.
Each coin features a portrait of the King and the silver jubilee logo on the front, and Sakhir Palace on the reverse.
The CBB has used ultra-high relief technology for a 3D effect on both sides of the coin, a first for commemorative coins issued by the bank.
How to book an appointment on the Mawaeed app
In line with the directives of the King, all proceeds from the coin sales will be donated to charitable organisations and funds through the Royal Humanitarian Foundation.
Appointments to purchase the coin can be booked through the Mawaeed national appointment system app. The booking service will be available on the CBB’s Services page on the app from 11am tomorrow.
Coins can be collected at the CBB in the Diplomatic Area on the selected appointment day.
